I make my home in the wonderful city of Portland Oregon. My inspiration began with the rain. I noticed women wearing their ski-gear to work, out to dinner, over their fancy jeans! This is a collection of outerwear that is feminine, tailored, sophisticated and waterproof. There’s incredible technology in the fabric, but it’s invisible. James Bond fabric in a girly silhouette. (Which might make the wearer a Bond Girl...)
Of course, a raincoat needs to keep you dry. The fabrics I use are highly technical, without appearing so. You could do serious outdoor activities in them. The coats are waterproof, wind-proof, breathable and stain resistant. They travel beautifully.
Practical and very functional. But most of all, pretty.
The coats are made in Vancouver, BC. All are satin lined with a silver piping inside. Because, as we all know, a silver lining reminds us to look past the clouds. There has to be something past the clouds...and it's nice to have a little reminder inside your outerwear.

Hillary Day is an apparel designer based in Portland, Oregon. She is driven by an appreciation for lovely simplicity, an interest in details and beautiful technology. Inspired by a trove of buttons and trims from her great-grandmother, Hillary began working as a milliner in the early 1990s. Her hats of fine straw, wool felt and specialty fabrics were sold in West Coast boutiques. Hillary studied apparel design at the Rhode Island School of Design. While in school, she apprenticed with Dana Buchman and Vera Wang. After graduating in 1999 she worked for Ralph Lauren in New York City. More recently she has worked in Portland for adidas where she designed men’s and women’s sportswear, developed color + trend direction and concept design.
• In addition, she remained very dry during the absolute coldest + wettest fall, winter and spring in recent memory.
